The menu at James’ Beach features a wide variety of seafood, meat and
vegetarian items. Among favorite appetizers are tuna tartar, a Mykonos
plate of 3 Greek salads, Caesar salad, a Cobb salad served in an artichoke,
proscuitto and melon, fried Calamari, oysters and shrimp cocktail.
Entrée meat favorites have included Certified Angus N. Y. steak and fries
(rated best in LA); calves liver with pancetta bacon and onion rings;
rack of lamb; stuffed grilled pork chop and a famous Angus hamburger.
Fish dishes include sautéed Sand Dabs; halibut served with a Shiitake
mushroom sauce and wasabi mashed potatoes; and grilled salmon with Summer
succotash and cherry tomato/avocado salsa. Other popular offerings
include the Swimsuit Special – grilled Shelton chicken breast with brown
rice and steamed veggies, a “Beach Club” sandwich with grilled salmon,
pancetta and avocado and a grilled Portabello mushroom served with mashed
potatoes and sautéed spinach.
Desserts are made fresh daily on the premises and include seasonal pies,
pudding and cakes plus made-to-order warm chocolate soufflé and hot
made-to-order chocolate chip cookies.
